A TECH THRILLER ABOUT WHAT MAKES US HUMAN
When brilliant software engineer Merril loses her younger sister Angie, she turns to the only tool she trusts: code. Mining Angie’s messages, photos, purchases and posts, Merril builds a startlingly lifelike AI to help solve the mystery of her disappearance. But as the simulation starts uncovering new clues—and uncomfortable truths—Merril must confront the limits of what technology can know, the ethics of who owns our data after we’re gone, and the aching truth at the heart of the search: AI can imitate us, but it can’t make us human.
Taut as a thriller and tender as a love story, Anthropology fuses grief, suspense and cutting-edge ideas into a pulse-quickening night at the theatre.
Reviews have hailed it as “up-to-the-minute, grappling with AI and its philosophical implications in a thoroughly engaging way” and “a cerebral thriller where each twist and turn tugs on the heartstrings.” Dramatists
First premiered at London’s Hampstead Theatre, this sleek, contemporary drama places audiences inside a high-stakes investigation where algorithms race ahead—but the human heart refuses to be decoded. As one recent review noted, Gunderson’s story reminds us that even “the most sophisticated algorithms cannot decode the human heart.” Hampstead Theatre

LADY MACBETH UNCUT
September 2025
VOX Productions
Director and Producer
Lady Macbeth has had a bad rap down through the years- known as the 'fiend-like queen' and a byword for evil manipulation. Inspired by the real Lady Macbeth (Gruoch), Lady Macbeth Uncut seeks to redress this, telling the story from Lady Macbeth's point of view. The play sheds new light on her motivation to seize the throne and builds empathy for a powerful woman striving for control over her life. The 'Witches' get a complete reboot as well, and together they challenge the structures and prejudices that seek to hold them back.
The Australian Premiere of Lady Macbeth Uncut
Written and adapted by Catriona Clancy
By arrangement with Fillingham Weston Associates

MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM
by William Shakespeare
September 2024
Director
A Fond Farewell at 210 Petrie Terrace
Moonlight, mischief and a love potion gone deliciously wrong—Shakespeare’s most enchanting comedy whirls lovers, fairies and “rude mechanicals” into a riot of romance and revelry. As spells backfire and identities blur, hearts are tested, loyalties flip, and the forest teaches every mortal a little humility—“Lord, what fools these mortals be!”
This glittering production is more than a midsummer escapade: it’s the final curtain at Brisbane Arts Theatre’s beloved home, 210 Petrie Terrace. Join us for a jubilant send-off to the stage that has sparked imaginations for generations—a night of magic, laughter and lyrical wonder that celebrates where we’ve been and toasts where we’re going. One last time, step into the dream, and help us bid a warm, heartfelt farewell to 210 Petrie Terrace.
